Hello everyone. I have a proposal: what about incorporating proSVG to the core distro, and adding skeletal animations to 3D features?

Well, good idea for the skeletal animation, I suppose, but who will do the work?

proSVG: Processing has a decent SVG support now, what proSVG (whole link is dead) brings more than is a must have? Beside, proSVG is very big, because it includes the whole Batik library.
The philosophy of Processing is to provide basic features, and to rely on 3rd party libraries for more powerful support of these features, or new ones. Not everybody use SVG, so making the package 700KB bigger just to add better SVG support for the 1% of people using it might be a bit overkill, no?
Just my opinion, of course.

Yes, ur-> for SVG mine was just an idea (processing doesn't write svg, just read).

As for skeletal animations, I don't know who could do the job but it's really missing. Maybe someone could ask for help to someone, like the jME dev team?

jME is a 3D game engine written in Java which uses WildMagic as basis (read: 3D game engine architecture book) and it's full featured, also includes skeletal animations, ability to save 3D animated models and a port of bullet to Java called jBullet.

I would have proposed to do a library based on it but I saw it uses NB IDE instead of Eclipse and I'm afraid of incompatibilityes.
