I know, nobody answered

you can load the program and have a screen in front of it

To have really a splash screen before the window opens you could maybe use with a second, frameless window that shows the splash screenand then gets closed

I don't think that is the correct way of adding a splash or welcome screen in an application. From what I understand, a splash or welcome screen is use as a preloader of the application. Some applications even add their loading percentage value on it and credits.
