A troubling puzzle

As a first Processing[.js] experiment, I revisited a simple (but perplexing) drawing puzzle game I once played as a child:
I really enjoyed the discovery of this new environment, and I've been pleasantly surprised at how painless the return to a strongly-typed language has been (after all these years of Python).
I'm thinking about reusing this simple grid world engine to create other simple browser games.. I'm curious about the state of Processing-based casual gaming dev: is there an active community around it, and is it gaining traction? (i.e. in comparison to the multiple other competing technologies)
