I make a small change in codes, I want to divide the numbers, but the data is converted to a string by nfs() function, and I get the following error:

can not convert from String to float

Number formatting functions like nfs() and others are meant for end-user displaying purposes.

This recent post has some rounding tricks:

And now your code using them:

B/c time is not a whole value! Even the rest of its division operation results a floating-point value too.

Some fix:

  final float rounded = round(time * 1e2) / 1e2;

Take notice that it triggers many times while time is in a range where it's divisible by 5 though!

-I've applied your changes. through a range where time divisible by 5, the program print several time in console. but, for example only in 5.00, 10.00, 15.00,... this test is true ( time % 5 == 0) and We should have only one print.

-in fact I want to make division operation over nfs (time, 2, 2), but i get error, so I change that with time.

- can I replace time%5==0 with nfs (time, 2, 2)%5==0 ? i need this.

I've already warned you about that at the end of my previous post:

Take notice that it triggers many times while time is in a range where it's divisible by 5 though!

But, for example only in 5.00, 10.00, 15.00,... this test is true ( time % 5 == 0) , !!!!

Well, I don't see why it shouldn't! 5.00 = 5 & 10.00 = 10 and 15.00 = 15!!!
But any amount of fractional part makes all of them false!
That's why I've used the cast operator (int) to remove those before getting their modulo!

In fact I want to make division operation over nfs (time, 2, 2), but i get error...

As I've mentioned before, number formatting functions are not meant for calculation.
Just for displaying them as text! It returns a String, not a numerical value!

-I asked for a timer that count like a second.because I need to know when my sensor stay over a value for 5 seconds,

-from 5 to 6 in second, is 99 steps. (05.98>05.99>06.00)

-when I use second() function to measure 5 seconds,5 seconds was started from 0.00-05.99 in second() function. my sensor changes his value in 05.01 second, so I get some wrong data.

-for this reason i need a timer that count in hundredths resolution (01.01>01.02>01.03...).

-so when timer goes to coefficients of 5, this test will be true (timer%5==0).

I test several idea but all of them lead to error.

You shoulda told us from the beginning what was your exactly goal.
I believe you're mixing up what you want to accomplish with what you should implement to get there!

I dunno much about Arduino and such. But I believe you can check if some sensor is still active, right?

Callback function draw() is not the ideal place to deal w/ a timer counter.
That's a better fit to a parallel Thread.

I've made a simulation of reading whether a sensor is active thru' isSensorActive().
The sensorCounter() Thread keeps checking that function once per 0.1 seconds.
Once it returns false, its total running duration is stored in variable timer.
So you know how many millis() has passed since that "sensor" was ignited!
