6 videos at the same time

Hi, im trying to run 6 videos at the same time with processing, and it runs very slow, is processing not well suited for this? i tried before with other apps as pd and it runs smooth. would like to know if there is a specific way of running various videos at the same time.

You should check out GSVideo.
GSVideo is a library for the Processing programming language that offers video playback, capture and recording capabilities through the use of the GStreamer multimedia framework. For downloads, examples and documentation, see the GSVideo website.

Hi,

it depends much on the codec and size of your video. On my computer, switching from h264 to MJPEG helps a lot. Along with GSVideo, check the OpenGL renderer that comes along : GLGraphics. It helps a lot.

I found out that at the time, Processing is not very good at video. That's a matter of time, sure.

yes, i also found that processing is slow for video compared with other languajes, IS there any technical specific reason for this?
