32-bit Floating Point Image Export?

We are currently working on a massive data-visualization project and need to export images in a 32-bit floating point format, 8-bit just doesn't have the level of accuracy that we need for the data we are encoding into these images.

Is there any way to export 32 bpc floating point images with Processing?

realy curious, what kind of massive data-visualization projects this is,that needs such accuracy. Hope you post some results...

Unfortunately its under a strict NDA so I can't really talk about it, but I'm dealing with 100 million points of data representing 3 years that needs to be separated by day, into images so we can use those generated maps to drive animations in 3D software.

I think I found a workaround of just rendering out layers of 8bpc images that I can composite in Nuke to build a floating point image back up.
