Hi,
I am trying to load data from the Internet on Android using Processing 2.0a6.

xml loading seems to do not work on Android unfortunately, so I try the JSON library.

I successfully load a JSON file on processing standard mode, but when it come to deploy it on Android, I got this message:

BUILD FAILED

/android-sdk-macosx/tools/ant/build.xml:679: The following error occurred while executing this line:

/android-sdk-macosx/tools/ant/build.xml:692: Compile failed; see the compiler error output for details.

And this line is highlighted in my code:

root = new JSONObject( result );

Any help welcome...

Error on migrating a project to 2.0a6 SOLVED

Hi,

I have a project on Android Processing 1.5 which was working fine.

Since I migrated to 2.0a6, I got this message:

Android SDK Tools Revision 20.0.1

Installed at /android-sdk-macosx

Project Type: Application

Project Target: Android 2.3.3

API level: 10

Library dependencies:

No Libraries

Feasibility : Using Google Places API

Hi,

I am wondering how difficult it is to use Google places in Processing for Android.

According to the docs, by going to an url compose of the element of your search, you can get an XML or a Jason file that contains the search results.

My questions are:

how difficult is it to :

- Get this XML or Jason file back into the devices (if needed) ?

- To parse the XML or Jason file (I am more familiar with XML) ?

Hi,
I want to command a device using usb serail message.

Message should be send in this format : $CMD,tttt,cc

here an example in Python : device .write('$CMD,01C2,01')

But when I try on processing : myPort.write('$CMD,01C2,01\n');

I got a "Badly formed character constant" message

Any ideas???

Video in full screen using apwidgets

Hi,

I had exported a video in 800x480 format.

But once displayed in the videoView, it appears rescale and 90 degree rotated in a way that the height of the the video fit the width of the screen.

Is there any way to display it full screen ?

Can't use OSCP5 in landscape Orientation

Hello,

I developing an app that display a video when an osc message is received.

To display the video in fullscreen I put the orientation on landscape, the video is displayed using apwidgets.

I realized that in landscape orientation, osc message are still received and print in the console,

but any other code in the void oscEvent(OscMessage theOscMessage) is not effective any more...

Any solution ??

3D Rotation using global frame axis

I am trying to apply rotations to a box.

Each time I rotate it, its axis follow the rotation.

Is there any way to keep the global frame of the scene as reference for rotations??

Hi,

I am trying to apply various rotation to the camera using OCD.

OCD allows me to use tilt, pan and rool rotation.

But these rotations are local, using the camera axis.

Is there ant way to have global rotation using global universe axis??

Hi,

I try to apply some tilting, paning and rolling effect to the camera in A3D environment on android.

I didn't find any way to apply rotateX() to the camera...

I try to use the OCD library but it is probably not supported by Android as crash.

Any ideas??

3D animation from Blender

Hi,

I created an animation in blender and exported the file as an .obj file, I can display it in my processing windows, but the animation is not played.

Is it possible to have animation in processing from 3D files?

and if yes, can I control the frame of the animation displayed ?

is there any way to import 3D file from blender in processing for Android???

I didn't saw any 3D import example for processing.

Blender can export .obj & .dea.
