I am seeking to find a processing.js expert to give a hands-on tutorial, as part of the VizBi 2012 tutorial day, which will take place on Monday, March 5th, 2012 in Heidelberg at the EMBL Advanced Training Centre.
VizBi is a conference series that brings together developers and users of systems for the visualization of Biological Data. The first meeting took place in Heidelberg in 2010, and the first VIZBI Tutorial day took place at the Broad Institute, Boston, following VizBi 2011. Out of 6 tutorials, Processing was the most popular. This year we are expanding our toolkit tutorials, to include D3 (presented by Mike Bostok) and processing.js.
As a tutor, you will receive - in addition to a share of the tutorial registration fee, a complementary pass to the VizBi meeting which takes place on the three days following the tutorial day. The meeting includes 6 sessions of review talks covering a range of biological areas where visualization is used, often from leading experts in their field, as well as three keynotes. To get a flavor of what to expect from next years meeting, I recommend you take a look at the videos from 2011 and 2010.
Please contact me directly if you are interested in this opportunity, or if you can suggest someone that you think would be ideal for spreading the processing.js word to eager computational biologists!
