Just wondering if anybody has had luck capturing video on windows 7. I'm having trouble with my webcam, and would be willing to invest in a new camera (or a kinect?) if i knew that there was some hardware setup that is working for people.
You're right - i didn't provide enough details! Where it seems to be dying for me is in winvdig. When I run the test app "QTCap" it spits out an error:
"0Logitech QuickCam Communicate STX-WDM : Problem connecting Video Output to Video Renderer"
I get the same error running the examples through processing. I scoured the internet for other vdig programs but the other ones that come up as recommended no longer exist (i.e. abstract planes vdig)
The webcam itself seems to work fine, I can skype with it and capture video through openframeworks, so it seems pretty isolated. I also tried a different webcam last night and got the same error message "0Logitech Orbit/Sphere: Problem connecting Video Output to Video Renderer". Though to be fair that webcam might be using the same logitech drivers.
Oh - and i should add i've done the winvdig 1.01 uninstall, reinstall, quicktime uninstall reinstall, dance a few times to no avail.
Hi, I have this working on Win 7, following EXACTLY what's here http://ubaa.net/shared/processing/opencv/ The problem I have now is : when running FaceDetection example I have black screen in the webcam frame. Can somebody help me ? Thank you.
