I'm wondering how I could make an image move in the X axis based on the position of the X position of the mouse. Also, how do I control the rate of movement? For example, as the mouse is moved from (0,0) to (100,0) one image may move from (0,0) to (50,0), while another image moves from (0,20) to (120,20).
I need to write a code that is basically the same idea as parallax scrolling where the movement is based on the mouseX position.
It's simply multiplying the mouse position by the offset... I created a project a while ago that used scrolling starts; it can be found on OpenProcessing. Perhaps you can implement some of the ideas...
I am new to processing and all of the examples I've seen so far look very complicated. I don't think I have the knowledge to figure out all of this in time. I might have to come up with a simpler project
You need to find the actual location for each of your items; as in where they exist in the virtual space... and you need to figure out how far each of those is from the screen. To find their screen location, divide their actual location by the distance.
The scaling for all of these factors will be determined by how the final output looks...
