openprocessing.org has had restrictions on uploading opengl sketches for a while now. i can't remember the reasons, something to do with browser instability.

i've not really had any troubles with sketches i've hosted elsewhere or viewed locally (using firefox) but it does sound like there could be a problem.

Thanks for the response. I thought openprocessing would be the most stable approach to uploading the file quickly. Unfortunately when I host it on my server I get the same problem. The Java console doesn't give any error messages though.. it's very weird.

i had a look at openprocessing.org again and couldn't see the warnings about uploading opengl sketches. maybe they only appear when it spots you uploading an opengl sketch.

sketch works fine here. bit processor hungry though.

you can alleviate the texture wobble in P3D by drawing it in smaller strips. will make it worse, processor-wise though.

this may be a red herring but i tried running your applet locally using appletviewer and got the following permission error.

try this yourself. if you get something similar then you could try signing the applet.

dakaye, it works for Windows. Just load Command Prompt and follow the instructions.

I'm also running into problems trying to use opengl in an applet. I go through and sign all my .jar, including opengl.jar, but then the browser says that I have some signed and some unsigned files and the sketch won't run (white screen).  However, if I remove opengl then it loads.  Did anyone find a way to get opengl to work in an applet?
