So another question then. Do I have to change over to eclipse to use the Robot class? How do Implement it.
All the examples I can find deal with the user pressing a button then the code recognizes that the button was pressed. That is not what I want. I would like to mouse over a box and that box start typing the letter 'A'. or hold it down. This is not a real life keystrok like it is when I am typing a response. It is a simulated keystroke. But how is this done?
No, you can use any Java library or built-in class within Processing. And if you look at the page I link to, you can find keyPress() which is probably what you want. Honestly, I never tried it, but I suppose it sends the key press to the application having the focus on your system.
Java isn't the best tool for such application. If you are on Windows, I would recommend to use AutoHotkey or AutoIt for such automation task, they are much more flexible and integrated to the system.
